In a world full of brokenness and uncertainty, finding ways to heal ourselves is revolutionary. I believe healing is the body and mind’s natural disposition and that it is available to all of us. Therapy can provide relief, a fresh perspective, and an opportunity to practice living your most authentic life. I’m encouraged you’ve taken the first step, no matter your experience or what may be prompting you to consider therapy.
My Therapeutic Perspective
I approach the therapeutic process through several lenses and techniques including: attachment theory, humanistic theories, Gestalt therapy, and mindfulness practices. Additionally, I contribute a social justice perspective that employs intersectional feminism and addresses institutional oppression as a barrier to change. My perspective is that you are the expert of your own unique experience. Together we will create a genuine space of trust where meaningful work can occur. I find it to be one of the greatest honors in life to be trusted with a person’s story and bear witness to their growth through the therapeutic relationship. I look forward to journeying with you on this path!
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and received my degrees from the University of Denver and Georgia State University. I’ve had the opportunity to practice social work with clients from all backgrounds and walks of life since 2014. My experience includes working with adolescent and adults in individual and group settings experiencing depression, anxiety, issues in families or relationships, life transitions, or barriers in life. My clinical orientation seeks to account for all cultural considerations including race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual identity, religious beliefs, family background, socioeconomic status, and all intersectionality relevant to a person’s identity within their familial and cultural system.
